October – Classroom Instruction Saturdays and Sundays
You must already have your permit in order to enroll and have at least 5 hours of behind the wheel experience.
Students cannot miss the orientation, first two classroom days and the first drive.
- Classroom instruction is Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 am – 12:15 pm.
- There is a 1 hour mandatory student/parent orientation on Saturday, October 31st at 10 am.
- The first day of classroom instruction will begin Saturday, November 7th.
- The last day of classroom instruction is Sunday, December 13th.
- There will be no classroom instruction on Saturday, November 28th and Sunday, November 29th due to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Behind the wheel drives are scheduled separately and will extend beyond the last day of the classroom instruction. There will be a total of six drives. Students will have five instructional drives with a partner. Each week there will be a 2 1/2 hour drive scheduled. Then students will take their drive test, without their partner, during the sixth drive.
Drives will be held Saturdays – Thursdays, and must be done the same day each week (ie: if a student is scheduled for a drive on Thursdays, then every drive is held on Thursday). Drives cannot change days, even for one week. There is only one instructor for this school. Students with limited availability due extracurricular activities, or work, will make it very difficult to schedule drives.
Our driver’s education course is a commitment made by teens, parents and us. Be sure that you will be able to attend all classroom instruction and drives prior to enrolling. Students cannot miss the orientation and the first two days of class, and the first drive, no exemptions.
If your teen qualifies for free/reduced lunch subsidy, you must email your proof of eligibility to info@besafedrivers.com Proof of eligibility includes SNAP benefits letter. If a school/school district offers free/reduced lunch to ALL students, regardless of financial status, this is not proof of eligibility.
